For Bike and scenic lovers, check out this gorgeous walking and cycling route – the Waterford Greenway stretches from Waterford to Dungarvan with a 29-mile long stretch. Boasting some of the most beautiful scenery in Ireland’s Ancient East. Top Things to look out for on this route: The gardens of Mount Congreve, Viking settlements, medieval ruins, a Norman castle, deserted railway stations, an Ice Age rock and a heritage railway train that still runs along part of the track. For Festival lovers, Waterford will have some exciting festivals for visitors. Spraoi Time 2020, Waterford Harvest and Vitamin Sea Festival are ones to not miss. Kicking off Spraoi Time runs from September 4th to 13th across the city streets. Lots of sculptures, spectacles, circus, lights and sounds to see. Next up is Waterford Harvest Festival from the 11th to 13th of September which will focus on local food and drink producers – a great way to support Waterford local business. Lastly the Vitamin Sea Festival taking place in the stunning coastal town of Tramore. This weekend will see some foodie collaborations, guest hosts, coastal excursions, taste trails, online events, craft markets and much more celebrating the vibrant outdoor and food scene.
