Galway – Aboo Halloween Festival

The Galway Aboo Halloween Festival is the country’s largest Halloween Festival. Taking place from Friday 27th to Monday 30th of October, the festival plays host to a number of activities and events – From the Halloween Parade, to Carnevil to the Salthill Zombie Chase there is something for all ages.  

Limerick - Lough Gur Halloween Storytelling

The Lough Gur Storytelling Festival takes place during the October bank holiday weekend and promises a feast of entertainment with storytelling, traditional music, song and dance and drama. The impressive line-up includes Puppetry and a performance by the Lough Gur Amateur Dramatic Society. The Story of Owls will be in the Heritage centre – and you can book in advance so your child can meet and greet six real owls as they hear about the mystical and magical creatures that hold a very important place in the folklore of Ireland.

Cork & Limerick – Happy Halloween Experience

The good witch of Munster, Witch Hattie O’Goodspell along with her friends the spooky skeletons, will entertain visitors in her magical spooky home.  Hattie’s friends include “Lazy Bones”, the bonkers bats, and a host of friendly ghosts and ghouls enjoying their annual Halloween party! Inside Hattie’s house, visitors are given a magical tour and even get to see where Hattie makes her magic potions. 

Cork – Leahy’s Open Farm

Leahy’s Open Farm will host The ‘Boo’ Experience Halloween Event for families to enjoy this Halloween. From haunted hayrides through the farm to the witch’s lair where you can help the little old witch make a magic spell by gathering the special ingredients to the witches wiggle disco – there something for all ages. 

Belfast – Halloween Monster Mash

A bewitching Halloween awaits in Belfast and beyond with scarily good events for all the family including firework displays, ghost trails and creepy crafts. 

The Halloween Monster Mash & Fireworks Display is Belfast biggest Halloween event and is scheduled to take place between 4pm and 7pm on Sunday 29th October at the Slipways, Titanic Belfast. There is an array of activities from live music to fairground rides to arts & crafts workshops as well as a free ghost shuttle. 

Derry – Banks of the Foyle Halloween Carnival

From the River Mourne to the Banks of the Foyle let your imagination run wild and join in the fun with a four-day party like never before! Highlights of the carnival includes:

• Awakening the Walls - Light, fire, sculpture, music and performance rouse the Walls awake in a supernatural animation trail on and around the City Walls
• Halloween Carnival Parade – Carnival, Circus and Street performers make their way through the city centre in the largest Halloween street carnival and costume party in Europe
• Spooktacular Fireworks Display – the skies about the River Foyle and River Mourne will be alight with colour in the finale of the carnival 

Dublin – Halloween at Malahide Castle

Join Hattie, the Malahide Castel House Keeper, she prepares for the annual Halloween Party. Hattie will take you on a tour through the castle where strange things have been happening. You’ll need to keep your eyes peeled - You never know who you might meet!!
Party with the Monster Mash Masters in the Visitor Centre afterwards where they will be teaching some scary dance moves!

Dublin – Dublinia at Halloween

Embrace the spirit of Halloween with the Waterford & Suir Valley Railway’s “Spooky Express” on Saturday 28th October.  Take a thirty-minute trip through the haunted area in the dark, where anything can happen.
