1. What is Custom House Square?
Custom House Square is a public open space in the city of Belfast, Northern Ireland. It is located on Donegall Quay between the Lagan Weir and City Hall. For centuries, this was the site of entry to the city from the east, and the square is named for Custom House, an 18th-century customs house that was the first building in Belfast to be lit by gas.
